  • The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, H. P. Lovecraft (1927):  Passing references to the incident, but great characterizations of many of the crew that burnt the Gaspee, caught-up in a horror thriller in 1771. Book review by Weldon Whipple of www.whipple.org
  • The Shunned House, H. P. Lovecraft, (1926): Again, passing references and characterizations amidst a haunted house. Both of these Lovecraft novels can sporadically be found on-line by searching for the titles and author with Google.
  • Rogue's Wager by Thomas G. Briody (1995):  Murder mystery with the Gaspee Days Parade at the climax.
